Interesting article on the pint chucking culture. For full disclosure I’m not a fan, it all looks a bit trying too hard, look at us going ker-ray-zee. The comment about the fans going mental over the third goal in a dead rubber sums it up.

I’m pretty sure luzzing beer wasn’t the reason we can‘t have a drink in the stands or within sight of the pitch, it was more about luzzing punches.

Don’t know when it started

It was probably me..... I was just carrying four pints across the room when Shearer scored against the Germans in 1996. Lost the lot of them in the general melee (mostly over others jumping into me). I was bloody annoyed to be honest, I was a student at the time - so four pints was quite a lot to lose.
