The whole suggestion smells of greedy pseudo-hippy capitalists who don't have the tiniest effing clue about football culture. Might as well have Grubbs inviting people catching a flight to the Dubai World Cup to pick up a double Malaysia at Pease Pottage to eat on the plane. Idiots.

Brilliant! :lolol:

Would anyone seriously reroute to pick up a pie, that you would either have for breakfast or cold at lunch???

Praise for coming up with an idea, but sorry - im out

It would work on coaches, I like the idea, stopping at services there and back can put another £15 on the budget for the day so £3 for a pie on the way up is great

Are you saying that by buying a £3 pie (£3!!!), you can save £15 at the services?

Am I the only person supporting BHA who thinks that the pies are not VFM and worth the money. I actually prefer a Steak and Ale pie from a Morrisons supermarket hot counter, of which there are many especially up north..

.

Are you saying that you spend £15 on sandwiches/burgers at the service station excluding drink and confectionery, which you may still buy even if you have a pie, rom Piglets.

No, they are over priced and hardly value at nearly £4. Much nicer pies and far cheaper at Northern grounds

Indulge me Ernest. Is there ANYTHING about this club that you actually LIKE at the moment? :lolol:

The quality and quantity of the pies has dropped massively since the opening of The Amex. First season they were far superior and much more substantial.

Used to look forward to them, now only have if going straight from work and need something for dinner.

I travel from Essex so I'd have to drive down to the Patcham roundabout, collect my cold pie then drive back up to Wigan. I reckon the fuel costs alone make this scheme unappealing. Oh, and I'm on a low carb diet so pies are off the menu.

Other than that. Sounds like a brilliant idea for the incredibly unimaginative punter who only ever eats one brand of pie and shuns all new experience related to pies.

The only one who moans about it incessantly, I think, yes.

There's clearly a very healthy cut going into the pocket of both Sodexho and the Albion at Amex prices. That much should be clear if, as per this proposal, the pies could be knocked out directly for £2.50 a go (based on £20 for 8 pies) - a 32% discount on the Amex price.

Don't Bozza. You'll encourage this madness.

You are the only man who refuses to top up their season ticket, and take advantage of the discount.

(which isn't so good now it's staggered).

I agree, in the first season at the Amex they were second to none, this season they really are no better than any other football ground pie, the ones I've had this season have had a very hard crust with very little filling.

The Cheeseburgers were excellent at the start as well, and then went rapidly downhill. Now we can't even have any mustard with them

Spot on

I tried one of the beef and stilton ones in Dicks on Monday night, had the potential to become my favourite pie yet by them, but needed more filling. Is it me of did anyone else notice the reduction in size of pie over last few seasons?

It's you. They haven't reduced in size.

You wish to invent scenarios to justify your whining.

That's three times on this page alone you've moaned about them. We heard you first time.

Nice idea, not really feasible except in a few specific circumstances. I'm out.

Really can't see that many people wanting a cold pie for lunch ( or the alternative of a hot pie for breakfast ). The pies are good but I wouldn't break my journey to get one. It might work on the coaches but is it really worth it to Piglets just to sell a handful of extra pies ? A no from me.

Twice - and merely giving an alternative opinion. I am happy with the pies, better than the vast majority of grounds, however am allowed an opinion :)
