This is an extremely good point. Forget guns, we HAVE to crack down on the Suicide and Mass Murder pills this guy is warning us about.

I used to be on 2 of these a day (after eating), which fortunately just made me want to self-harm. But on one occasion, I took my second pill halfway through a Hollyoaks omnibus by mistake, got up, and indiscriminately poured a bottle of Fabreeze into my fishtank, wiping out four pleco's, countless white cloud minnows and a black moor at a STROKE.

God alone knows what would have happened had I had access to a firearm.

Ban the pills. For gods sake ban the PILLS.

So let me get this straight.

If every man, woman and child in the world was armed with a Glock, or some kind of semi-automatic weapon, then there would never be any wars, deaths or atrocoties ?

Wow. I'm impressed that Piers managed to keep his cool through that. Alex Jones is probably the rudest person I've ever seen. Piers was meant to be conducting the interview and I think he only managed to get Alex to answer about 4 questions. Could Alex not just shut up and listen to Piers speak for a couple of minutes? I genuinely don't think he's had a chance to clearly express his views to the American people.

Several times through that video I just laughed with frustration that Piers couldn't get a word in edgeways. America is f***ed, God help them.

Im pretty sure Alex Jones would have lost a lot of supporters from that 104,000 the second he started doing a British accent impression of Piers. Just made himself look a complete fool.

Beneath all the shouting and ridiculous statements, as far as i could understand Alex Jones was trying to argue that banning guns will make no difference because it is the person who decides to murder rather than the weapon they use. A murderer would just use a knife instead of a gun if they were banned for example, which is partly true I guess but he cannot deny that taking away guns and creating stricter laws on who can own them would have a positive effect on gun related crimes.

Slaves would not have been enslaved if they'd had guns. Jews would not have been murdered if they'd had guns.

The point is that there is more violent crime here, because there is less potential consequences of committing violent crime here. Here a victim will almost certainly submit and wait for help, worse case you may get caught after the crime, but you are unlikely to face any violent or forceful resistance. In the U.S. if you target someone for a crime, you might get shot. That is also why there are so many more burglaries in this country, particularly when the victim is at home.

11,000 is a large number of gun deaths although the U.S. is a big country so comparing it to our 35 is not a true direct comparison. Some of those gun deaths will include suicide and some will be criminals shot by their victim or another member of the public or law enforcement.

If guns make people kill, then surely so do knives. I have an entire kitchen, but I have never hurt a soul.
