This is our local. The food is top notch and they always have a good selection of real ale. Unfortunately it was highly recommended in a Good Food type guide and now it's over run with people coming from far and wide for the food.

There's nothing wrong with Gales! Unfortunately taken over by Fullers a little while ago. I miss my pints of Festival Mild at the Basketmakers or Prestonville on matchdays.

Could not get pic of the Royal Oak, so going for the second nearest. Bizarrely not like most Chavley pubs, seems more like a Sussex villagey kind of pub.

The Plough, Ifield (on the outskirts of Crawley).

Its right at the bottom of the pictures of the pubs in Crawley.

(Note the one at the top is the one I had the misfortune to live near until a few months.)
