Probably an indication of how vital it is for them to stay in the Premier league.

Bullard v Barmby scrap in front of the WI the last straw?

Hull manager Phil Brown has been ordered not to talk to his teenage midfielder Tom Cairney. Brown has received a letter from the 19-year-old's legal representatives after the club tried to open contract negotiations

Dont see why a change in managers is gonna help them stay up, they dont have quality players.
Same as Brian Laws at Burnley, not a premiership team, and a crap manager 2 go with it

Hmmm, could it be due to the fact that he has no control over his players?

After Boateng (his captain) was sent off for a disgusting foul at the weekend Brown shook his hand as he went off. I'd have been FUMING, not wanting to say, ''ooh well played George'', or anything like that.

I'd imagine Phil Brown would walk into another job. Got an unfashionable team promoted and kept them up. It won't be a Prem job but he'll be grabbed by another Championship club

On a side note. How was that just a yellow card? and in how is poking someone in the eye only a yellow card and what did Bendtner do to deserve a caution?

Exactly. Boateng had done enough in that game to be sent off twice. But no, Phil thinks that is okay. Benny.

He's not alone in that though is he.

Personally, I think it's a shocking sacking. Just shows how ridiculously unrealistic clubs are these days. Where exactly do the Hull board expect the team to be in teh table? They are inevitably going to be battling against relegation.

Seems an odd time, coming off the back of a very narrow loss against a high flying Arsenal side.

Wonder if Warnock's kicking himself for not waiting a few weeks longer.

So who's in the frame?

silly decision - especially going into a match with porstmouth with no manager

Brown will have no problem getting another job, I fear for Hull, who are they going to attract who can keep them up who is better than Brown?
