/Napier/Smith/Gritt/O'Sullivan/Reinheilt
or even the true god STUART STORER try to make money out of past glories is the day the plastic yank deserves to cash in for the billionthe time

Bit harsh, innit?

Those names you mentioned all have their places in Albion history but Wardy had something extra special and was central to a golden Age in Albion history when the crowds flocked to see him & the team.

I'd love to hear the tales of some of the other names you've mentioned, and more, but a book needs to be commercially viable and players like Kit napier, a hero of mine, would have no interest to so many who now support Albion. Indeed, many may not even have heard of him.

Infact, i think I'll start a Kit Napier thread!.

Yes, it is Palace.

Thanks, Freddie!

I'm guessing this game was in 1977/78 as Southern TV recorded highlights of the 1-1 match at the Goldstone. In those pics I've uploaded, do you know who was the Palace goalie with the blonde perm? The match programme has the Palace goalie as Tony Burns - was that him?
