Fork You indeed. :lolol:

Surely the bit about Brian Clough being Brighton manager when PW came back on loan is wrong? It was Peter Taylor who brought him to Brighton in the first place when he was assistant manager to Old Big 'Ed.
Or is my memory playing up again :shootself

No, you're right, I made a monumental fuckup! Clough refused the extension from the other end, he was still at Forest.

Corrected.

Is there not a picture if Pete in the stripes you could use Mr. Me?

preferably without that dreadful bangers he was sporting in the early 80's.

Finding any picture that fits in with Wikipedia's fair use policy is not easy. Almost any pic on the web won't fit it.

I may see if I have something here I can scan. The best though would be if anyone on here had a pic THEY had taken, that way copyright is not a problem as they would be the copyright holder.

You should include the anecdote that Wardy told at the Albion Evening of Legends about Brian Clough and the team bus - especially Wardy's punchline.

:lolol:

Is that the one where he was dropped off up the M1 and told to run, If so he told me that story when I went out to Florida as a guest of Mark Lawrenson and they both played for Tampa Bay Rowdies. Did he tell you about Cloughie's team talk just before each game?

That club Tampa Bay Rowdies was missed off of his list of clubs.

Close. Peter Taylor, who brought Wardy in from Burton Albion, was manager in his own right.

Cloughie had buggered off to Leeds, then left 44 days later. He eventually ended up at Nottingham Forest, where Taylor rejoined him, and Mullery took over here.
