We won.
We kept a clean sheet.
17 shots (anyone remember Bristol away last year?)
We're just outside he play off places with a game in hand.
Two players who have been in the squad for less than two weeks.
Player of the season out with long term injury.
Two players under 20 bossing the game.
Best striker still not over his injury (psychologically).
And all this despite selling "best" player and losing a striker people are now claiming was a game changer (having slagged him off for years).

So frankly, when some pinhead on NSC describes the performance as "shockingly bad", I don't know whether to laugh or scream. Yes Billy Sharp could have scored with the header (although on TV looks like TK had it covered), but we got cross after cross into the box and with more understanding we could have had a hatful.

We may not have clicked yet, but we were only a few percent off being rather good yesterday.

At last, some reality.
Roll on Tuesday (although if we don't win by at least 6-0 with every shot on target and nil shots against I may have to stay off here Wednesday morning!) :lolol:

You absolute bar steward, sir. I've spent an age , and McGhee-like quantities of whisky trying to forget this......this.......ablution of a game, and here you come, optimistic as a lark and rake it all up again.

You need horsewhipping, sirrah.

CMS won't forget it in a hurry either. We persuaded a chum to come with us and he caved at the last minute. Has not (quite rightly) stopped blaming us for making him go ever since.

We were all saying how bad we were against Watford last week but just seen the highlights of their game against Leicester yesterday who were lucky to get a draw at home!

Doncaster came and had a go and could have snatched a point but we ground out a result we are still not firing as well as we know we can but just outside the playoff places 12 weeks to go and still in the FA cup

I would say things are looking very bright

The most curious thing..
Perspective?

This is NSC - don't be ridiculous.

We are either brilliant or shit - nothing in-between.

It just has not gone our way this season for so many reasons yet we find ourselves just outside the play offs with a game in hand and our best players getting fitter, returning or newbies starting to gel into our style of play.
All this in a league where any of the teams can drop points at any time against any team.

So in your opinion who's been more consistent than Crofts? Stephens was a huge transfer as there was a gaping hole left by him.

ah crofts that's the one... thought he meant last seasons and was wondering why he was talking about bridcutt. thankyou for enlightening me kind sir
