I may be young Timothy's biggest fan on here, but even I say "Death to Timothy" with another bullshit thread like this.

its a bit harsh to slay Hove Born&Bred over this. Although it is complete shit. No way would we risk having Planning permission turned down for some greyhounds. maybe as a summer thing when the stadium isn't in use? have them on the pitch or something? i don't know. and to be honest. I don't care. As long as we are sitting there watching brighton play. sall good.

Why not go the whole hog, stick a bit of tarmack round the pitch and have stock cars there too!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to hear that rumour. I don't think I'm quite so insane now.

am i right in saying the pond in the village is of a ovular shape ? Drain the pond slap on some white lines and bobs your uncle, make the meets 6pm starts on a saturday, straight over from the game for a nights entertainment in the village.Jubbly

What nonsense. I can just see the players training the night before a game at the stadium and all of a sudden 6 hounds start chasing a f***ing elastic rabbit around the pitch with Bob and Dean sneaking off for a pint and a bet while one of the dog's gets horribly confused and attacks the next smallest thing in the ground to chase... Dean Cox.

I'm sorry but it's going to be a f***ing pain in the ass getting twenty two men plus staff across a dog track once sometimes twice a week! and there would be many "track related injuries" for instance... "Colin Hawkins is out for a month with a suspected broken nose after he went in for a tackle at the corner flag, carried on sliding, but couldn't fit his nose under the side railings. What about Gully's Girls? Surely there trip around the stadium would have to be altered to something like "Gully's top tip's" as they race around the dog track before the game, nude, chasing one of the poor unsuspecting fans who just wants to watch the game without having six ugly bint's on his case.

I have heard some great bullshit on here before, but this takes the biscuit.

Tuesday - League games / Champions League Games
Wednesday - Champions League Games
Thursday - UEFA Cup games

like your thinking there :albion2:

Simon Clare has been spotted with Tony Bloom on various occasions !!

A professional gambler who used to run a betting company seen out and about with an executive from a betting company. who'd have thought that could ever happen. you say the rumours are about, it sounds like a conspiracy theory in the bar. seriously, where will this track go, get a graphic of the stadium and draw where it is going to fit.

I think he might have something this time. Look at the facts:

Simon Clare = bookie
Tony Bloom = gambler

Clear evidence that Corals are going to partly demolish the new football ground and run greyhounds round Falmer.

Buffoon :dunce:

how would it not effect planning? Only allowed a certain amount of events a year and a dog race every weekend would clearly push that over the limit

construction for the east stand has already started. however plans for remainder need to be finalised. plan of ground does not show any track or even space for one. maybe corals has an agreement with leroy lita as well :albion2:

Look ... why can't people be a bit more imaginative?

Every time I've been at the dogs, I've sat indoors, scoffing and boozing, with an occasional walk to a counter where I hand over money to a nice woman who puts it in a till.

Whatever dog racing goes on happens outside. Apparently there is some sort of track. It's obviously nearby, but I've never seen it.

People seem to imagine that, if Falmer was to host dog racing, a track would have to be built around the football pitch. WHY?

What would be wrong with racing the dogs around the OUTSIDE of the stadium? Or round the University cricket pitch? It's not far away. Or alongside the A27? The punters could still eat, drink and give money to the nice lady with the till. Corals would be happy, the Club would make some money. Everyone's a winner. Especially the nice lady with the till.

That, sir, was hilarious.

It's obviously going to be on the roof. Those big arches are really hurdles. Easy.
