Coral are understood to be finalizing plans to sell the Nevill Road circuit although it is unlikey to be to Ikea.

Coral have not made anything other than essentail repairs to the Stadium for a number of years now, including the grade 2 listed Totalisor Board! The management think the stadium is approaching the end of its useful life.

However Corals arn't silly they know an affluent area such as Brighton and Hove will always require the form of entertainment Dog Racing offers (the resturant is always sold out for most evening meetings)

Coral are thought to be negotaiting to put significant funds into the Falmer project. The Nevill Road Circuit may close as early as 2012

This will not contravene the planning consent!!

Keep your eyes peeled in The Argus and don't shoot the messenger!!!

Couldn't they knock down the Goldstone Retail Park, as it is under utilised at the moment?

I dont know the reasons behind its closure but White City wasnt exactly in a poverty stricken area either.

If you had any creditability it's all gone now, time to change your username now like all the other monkeys do.

As these are allegedly "persistent" rumours, who else on NSC had heard them before this thread was posted?

Like others have said the current planning permission does not allow it and in fact almost rules it out by being very specific about what the stadium can and cannot be used for. So it would not only require a complete re-design but also a new planning application and more then likely new public enquiry.

Add to that the fact that if we rise through the divisions we could in reality need it during the year on most night.

Sunday - TV Games
Monday - Bank holiday / TV Games
Tuesday - League games / Champions League Games
Wednesday - Champions League Games
Thursday - UEFA Cup games
Friday - TV Games / Easter Game
Saturday - League Games

Who would take priorly when we had to fit a FA Cup 1/4 Final replay in at short notice on a night when they wanted to do dog racing?

I think he misheard somebody who said that as the place will be empty most evenings, the stadium car park would be great for dogging.

These rumours have been doing the rounds in Brighton and Hove for weeks now!!

Simon Clare has been spotted with Tony Bloom on various occasions !!

I won't happen prior to buliding or even in the first couple of years.

Eh? So they'll push the stands away from the pitch to squeeze in a track? You really are a complete fool.
