Seems to be a lot of moisture in the astro-whateveritis - flies up when a ball is hit...

Do they wet the pitch? Why?

And can't be terribly hygenic is it? Swampy germ-breeding ground Shirley?

Perplexed, any knowledge in NSC-land?

its a water based astro pitch as opposed to a sand based = lovely to play on

No, soz, the water would not drain away would it? Doesn't it make a toxic top dressing? Sorry for my ignorance...

some sort of machine cleans it periodically,i'd say sand based surfaces are less hygienic
