Quite simply, how are you getting there and back, and how much is it costing you? Group of 15 going up for an 18th birthday, struggling to find a cheap way of getting up there.

We've left it late, but yeah.

you will not get cheap tickets on a friday unless you leave in the daytime and even then I suspect you will struggle.....about 15 of us going up saturday morning via manchester coming back sunday - booked about 8 weeks ago for about 30 quid each way

Cheapest I've found it so far, is leaving late on Thursday, means waiting 4 hours at Manchester, and then getting to Blackpool at 6:30 in the morning. £25 Going to be a LOOOOONG weekened.

Check out the Leverdale hotel. 3 nights stay is 65 per person (or there abouts)

Got a hotel, one of the shite cheap chain hotels. 2 nights, 5 rooms was less than £200.

going to Cheltenham races for the Thursday and Friday then up to Blackpool friday night still cost £45 on the train but the cheap hotel makes up for it. Should be a cracking weekend and by the sounds of it a fair few Albion out on the Friday night

32 of us going up on luxury coach, booked into so-called party hotel (specialising in stag/hen weekends). Sounds classy. Hate Blackpool, but we'll have a laugh for sure.

I did it coming back the same day though:
Southern travelcard Lancing to London Zones 1-6. £11.70
Euston to Manchester Virgin Trains website got some cheap prices if you book a certain train. £16 there, £11 back.
Normal return from Manchester to Blackpool Stations. £10

£50ish return with a railcard. Would of been even cheaper if I did it earlier.

A better suggestion, just don't stay in Blackpool, go, watch the game and leave. You will spend less, and whatever else you do that weekend, you will have a better time.

Im ruling the weekend up there out now, far too expensive, just a £50 train on the day is probably as much as i can afford.

£55.90 splitting the journey Eastbourne to Euston and Euston to Blackpool with a Railcard - also plan to do Barnsley

Yeah, weekend getting smashed with 14 mates, or travelling the length of the country to watch and lose and head straight back down. Tough choice.

Brighton factually.....
Jebus Blackpool is a shit hole why would you wanna make a weekend with jocks and geordie hen & stag parties everywhere. Bollox to that..... go, in, out, get back south as fast as you can is my advise.

if you're going with that attitude then do us all a favour, don't go.

And regarding the 14 mates, seriously, if they really are mates, go somewhere else, go anywhere else, IT WILL BE BETTER THAN BLACKPOOL.
