Is it just me or are people saying these phrases ALL THE f***ing TIME NOW?

People going "for me, cheese and onion is me favourite crisp flavour...."

or "you know what? I might just go shopping."

it makes 'can I get' seem positively endearing.

What about the infuriating 'look' that the aussies tend to use at the start of a sentence to make a point. Now started hearing our politicians doing the same. Arrggghhhh

People mumbling along to songs. I don't care if you can't sing or don't know the words, belt it out! I will also accept shutting up, or wordlessly mouthing, just don't mumble.

I heard yesterday someone at work saying they were "acting as a conduit" for something. I did not know conduit meant cnt, until then.

"By and large" and "in the main"
"When all is said and done"
"At this moment in time"
"I hear what you say"
It's as annoying as Palace (the scum)

"In as much" but "not as such"
"It was like"," y'know?"
But "with all due respect"
"At the end of the day"
"In real terms" STOP TALKING SO

Did you point out to them that in English, the shortened version of mathematics is in fact 'maths', and that they were in fact speaking American?
there does seem to be a growing trend amongst some city workers to appear wankily " mid atlantic", mainly amongst these graduates and phd tossers etc , obviously not people like me who came through the ranks the hard way , who really are the backbone of the city.

I cannot stand it when people say "like" all the time.

You know, I was like...... and it was like!

Just shut the feck up!!! It must be an american thing like most things which started in a generation recently and now it is spilling over into mid 20s early 30 year olds. Teenage girls on the train are the worst to listen to though!
