Penney Quits Doncaster...

Doncaster Rovers and boss Dave Penney have parted company.

Penney guided Rovers to promotion from the Conference to League One and their highest position in 50 years.

A statement said: "After seven years as player and manager the club and Dave feel a change is necessary. He feels he's taken the club as far as he can."

"We will not stand in the way of his ambition," added Rovers who have appointed Mickey Walker as caretaker for the game against Port Vale.

Only when it suits Scotty, only when it suits...

Swansea and Leon Knight are above us but that doesn't count, however Donny and Penney are below us, that counts.
