I saw this yesterday, I have to say it seems harsh, the player was already going down as well, not sure what he did wrong their, Unless putting himself in danger is an offence worthy of a penalty.

Put it this way, I don't think anyone could really say the defender was going for the ball with a 'tackle' like that - he wasn't even looking at it. The fact the ball hit his head is by the by here - he got the man first.
