It’s irrelevant if we can accept the one on welbs last week we need to take this one on the chin! With that fu cker jwp they probably would’ve scored from the free kick anyway
So much for the crowd be able to persuade the ref's decision, he should have gone over and checked it. He didn't want to, did someone call him a w****r?
I am more pissed off with our inability to defend a set piece and our toothless pairing (any 2 from 3) up front than stupid VAR decisions, which seem to go against us more often than not.
That is why we are where we are. Perhaps Potter can use VAR to see just why Connolly needs to spend a season at somewhere like Reading.
Can someone explain to me how, when a player is fouled by being barged into, he manages to "fall" up into the air and not down onto the ground straight away?
Yes it was a foul, outside the box, but it really was a magnificent dive.
No, but March shouldn't be making that challenge and giving the officials something to look for.
We've been on the right side of VAR decisions recently (including another March challenge at Villa) - we have to take this one on the chin. Potter needs to have a word with March about his composure, or lack of, in and around our penalty area.
March has been quality this season but he had a poor one tonight.
Genuine question - for a foul, is it the point of contact that counts? or is it the position of the attacking player, i.e. the same criteria that is used for an offside. If its the latter, it is a penalty as t-shirt line on the arm is in the area.
I'm sure for the Lalllana/Kane one a while back, that was the argument given.
