PC Died

My home laptop froze last night (I blame this site as I was viewing one of those lovely girlie pic threads at the time) and when I crashed it and switched back on I couldn't get it to load.

Is it terminally dead - I tried F2 and F8 as ways to reboot but nothing seems to work - it starts to boot-up but stops straightaway.

Is it terminally dead?
Should I bother taking it to PC World or somewhere and spend seventy quid or so to get it doctored or is that a waste of money and would I be better of just bunging four hundred quid or so on a new laptop?

Im sure your laptop is fine, dont waste your money at pc world or buying a new one !

motherboard maybe stuffed. get it checked out, or start saving for a new one.

RIP severnside gull's PC. I didn't know it well, in fact I didn't know it at all, but I am saddened and shocked by this news. You have my deepest sympathy severnside gull.
