I wasted precious hours watching her run the same race four years ago in the expectation of her winning gold.

I will not be making the same mistake again.

You looking for a bishop bashing or summin'?

I'd also like to make it clear at this point that Seagull Tim's nickname is Steve Mcmanaman.

I have a fair but of sympathy for her and the luck she seems to have with the Olympics. If she'd had an uninterupted year of training she'd have been able to run that race, stop for a luxuriously long dump whilst reading most of the Sun and still done a faster time than that Romanian who won.

isn't she BRAVE though:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think with Paula it was a matter of principle and pride after dropping out 4 years ago. Most Doctors thought she would not even start let alone finish and she ran 26.2 miles 3 months after breaking her leg in very hot and sultry conditions. What did you do yesterday, have a few pints and a burger ?.

Radcliffe has been a sporting LEGEND for thic Country and does not need to prove anything to anyone.

Get on a treadmill. Turn it up to 11.5 miles an hour and see how long you last. 3 minutes is quite good. Paula did that pace for 2 hours and 15 minutes when she set the World Marathon record.
She is a brilliant athlete. End of.

She could still win it in London. I'd love to see it.
