according to Sky Sports Centre

probably a big clearance as he wouldn't have been up for a corner with his team leading in the middle of the second half

or someone at Sky has pressed the wrong button!!!

Way out west
35+ yards, apparently it was about 80 yards, he wellied it towards the Watford box from a free kick and it bounced over the keeper into the net.

From the BBC:
Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson scored a remarkable goal from fully 80 yards as the hosts moved up to sixth with a fine win that piled the pressure on Watford.

However, few would have predicted the nature of Tottenham's second when it came, Robinson taking a free-kick from five yards outside his own penalty area, the ball floating over the defence, bouncing over Foster, and drifting into the corner.

It was exactly the sort of freak goal that goes against teams when they're struggling, and it was almost even worse when Foster had to turn over the bar from Tom Huddlestone's crashing 20-yard drive.

I take it Robinson will be starting against the Israelis.

I caught the end of an interview with him on Sky and wondered why he was talking about his goal. Still he's in my Fantasy Team :clap2: :clap2: but can't keep a clean sheet these days

Southport 0-1 Weymouth

Goalkeeper Jason Matthews scored a remarkable effort from his own half in the 89th minute for Weymouth to seal a win over Southport at Haig Avenue.

Matthews performed heroics in the visitors' goal throughout, frequently repelling bottom club Southport as shots peppered his goal.

Tony Gray was denied early on and then Mark Duffy's shot was turned wide.

The match was heading for a stalemate until Matthews pumped the ball forward and it drifted in to seal the victory.

Jason Matthews, the Weymouth keeper, scored the only goal of the game away to Southport today. It came in the 89th minute. Anyone have more details?

Good week for keepers scoring goals, after the Sevilla man's last-minute equaliser on Thursday night. And Green so nearly managed a goal tonight - albeit in his own net!

Robbo's goal was a lovely moment - time seemed to stop, or at least slooooooow right down as the ball bounced and looped in, and while he himself didn't seem to show much instant reaction, Dawson and Rocha immediately turned and hurtled towards him, grinning like little kids.

"Tottenham's second goal - scored after 65 minutes - by... number one, Paul Robinson!"
 :lolol:

We certainly are spreading the goals around - 16 different scorers now, behind only United's 18 (though none for Van Der Sar... yet!) Anyone who finishes the season without at least one goal to their name needs to take a long, hard look at themselves.

Except the late Ledley, that is, God rest his soul...

Nice to see, even in a dull performance by our recent standards, something out of the ordinary still happens. Long may it last - though the next 0-0 draw will probably set off a whole series of them...
