I think Edouard & Onuachu are quite different.
Pretty similar l'd say, there is an o, a u, and an a, in both of their names.

Historically we do have an interest in Edouard, but I assume we’re going for a ‘cluster’ approach - we’ll have more than one target in mind. Wouldn’t be a surprise if we’d made contact and enquired about Onuachu, and it’s been leaked. Doesn’t mean we have no interest in Edouard, Sasa Kalajdzic, Yaremchuk, Adam Armstrong or any other striker that becomes available and fits the profile of signing we want to make ... and if and when that does become public knowledge I’d expect us to get just as positive.
May I ask did Lala or Welbs fit the model? Actually, I don’t need to ask. Clearly, we will go for experience where required

Agreed. My use of ‘pretty good’ was a little tongue in cheek.
Get the point though that the quality of the two leagues he’s played in will be inferior but probably no different to Edouard in the SPL which is also a bit rank.
Exciting to see that we are being linked with strikers in the £25m mark. Fingers crossed the club get’s a good ‘un and not a dud.
I don't think it's necessarily about 'experience', it's about being a proven commodity in the Premier League.
Ashworth said 'we’ve tended to either go to a different market or buying potential rather than performance'.
The club can't compete with teams that are going after proven Premier League players e.g Callum Wilson, Buendía but have a better chance bringing in players from lesser leagues.
Lot’s of recent posts on Twitter, West Ham reckon he’s there’s

Last week, it was revealed that both Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United were interested in signing Paul Onuachu from KRC Genk.
The striker, who scored 35 goals in all competitions last season,*was reportedly the subject of a ‘straight battle’ between the Seagulls and the Hammers, who were told it would cost £26m to sign him from the Belgian side.
That wasn’t surprising, since both clubs need a goalscorer, as David Moyes has yet been given a replacement for Sébastien Haller, while Graham Potter is looking for someone to take a load off Neal Maupay’s shoulders.
Neither club has made an offer, however, as*OwnGoalNigeria*are reporting the player’s agent is ‘presently in England’ to hold talks with teams interested in his client.
The website claim ‘he arrived yesterday’ and reiterate that both Brighton and West Ham ‘are the two teams from the Premier League who have shown interest in signing the forward’.

His agent is Danish, Denmark is on the amber list, so he would need to quarantine for 10 days if he flew in.
Very unlikely to be true.
I've been pushing Onuachu propaganda since last November, he literally looks like an elite Bas Savage in the way he seems to just find himself scoring wherever he is and is MASSIVE. He's tall, he's fast, he wins headers for fun and is very tidy with the ball at his feet. He also takes perfect pens. For the price, and the relationship we have with Genk, and given he has played with Trossard I think he absolutely matches a Potter side. Potter has used taller strikers before, Potters best two seasons when he won promos at Ostersunds were with Emir Smajic who is 6'5 up front and Islamovic, a 6'3 center forward was the striker that took them to Europe in their crazy rise. He then utilised McBurnie who was a taller striker.
Onuachu is a PERFECT signing for Albion in the striker role, the only thing against him is his age, but that guarantees we get his best 4 years of his career if we sign him up now. We signed Lallana, Welbeck and Veltman last season so I don't buy the whole "we only buy youngsters" argument.
I would honestly be so delighted with this if we got him in, if we don't and he goes West Ham, they're going to finish top 8 easily.
Can’t he just say he’s with UEFA and ignore quarantine.........or travel via Malta?
We didn't pay club record fees, though.
