As i said a few weeks ago what are we running a football club or a reunion

Although I'm sure you'd wet yourself with excitement if someone invited your beloved Dean Wilkins to the 'reunion'?

Not thrilled but on a short term contract, given the paucity of talent in midfield and the sicknote record of McCleod so far this season ,why not, on a pay to play contract?

Well Kanchelskis never showed!

Why not Brooker? He's still only 31, can beat a man and cross a ball (which our current squad don't seem capable of) and would be extremely cheap. I would have no objection to him being awarded a short-term contract, especially until we get McLeod back and fit.

yeah its disgraceful what with all the top quality players lining up and busting a gut to play for us and all, sorry forgot we are brighton and the top club in the division and money no object !!!

The issue is not case of budget in this case, but a case of being good enough to play at this level still. A premiership player who is to old to play in the top flight will manage still in the lower divisions where you do not have to be as sharp.

A player who has dropped down the divisions generally on his last legs and dropping down the leagues to match his level of ability.

It is also important to mention, that we took on Mayo and Hart to a squad that was already large in size. Two wages that eat into a budget no matter how small. Saturdays opponents Walsall have a tiny squad in comparison, but have spent it reasonably well on a small squad.

I'm getting seriously worried about MA.......mayo and hart was bad enough and sorry to see NSC opinion was proved right in this case. But Brooker and Kyle? I must admit I thought MA was going to do a good job but the last few results and if these rumours are true... well it is alarming. Wasn't it only six weeks ago that MA thought we had the squad sorted?

I don't think he's had any major injury problems, so at 31 he should still have "legs" and be able to get himself in decent shape. He's obviously lost his way somewhere along the line, if he wants it then he could be a decent addition.

What worries me is the lack of imagination and knowledge in our signings, ONLY signing players you've worked with before is not a sign of a good manager imo.

I'm starting to think that Micky Adams has been frozen in time for the last 7 years and has only just been let out of the freezer.

The only money left is on MA s credit card, Brooker still leaves enough money for the weekly shop at Liddells........perhaps Cox might understand what this all might mean !!!!!

Please, please not Brooker as well. We really must stop trying to live in the past and move forward.

Yes I am. Virgo is a very good player. Mayo & Hart are good enough for our level and Paul Brooker at 31 could be a good bit of business for us. So yes I am happy with whats been brought back.

Good ol' Micky then. I'm not so convinced myself about whether Hart and Mayo are League 1 standard. I'm inclined to think not.
