I was very dubious about the resigning of Hart and Mayo but I just hope Brooker is trying to get fit. BTW Albert Jarrett has signed a one month contract with Gillingham. (May be Fixtures).

I may have missed it but I don't think it says anywhere we are looking at signing him.
I would have thought it was quite common for former players to be allowed to train with the team to get their fitness up etc.
Paul Brooker was one of my favourite players during his stint with us but if we are looking at signing him then things really are getting a little silly.
Who next? Carpenter? Lee Steele?

Revell was playing for Braintree and had lost his love for the game, he didn't do so bad. Not that I think we should sign Brooker but just that players shouldn't be ruled out just because they are playing non league.

It seems he stopped being interested in being a player about 4 years ago when he went to Leicester knowing he had no chance of getting more than a couple of games in a season. Did F all at Reading where I think he went next and I think Brentford fans wanted to kill him didn't they?
Nothing wrong with non league players, like Revell, on the way up but I reckon there's plenty wrong with good players going the other way being brought back because of what they did 5 years ago. i just hope he is doing a Kancheskis and training with us and is not MA's hopeful answer to our midfield problems.

If Brooker were to sign, I think it would be a fair to assume that Adams is working on a budget that has become even tighter?
Maybe, but I fear that the re-signing of Mayo and Hart and talk about Currie and Brooker suggests that MA doesn't have the knowledge about players at our level that we might expect. Hence the easy option, sign players you have worked with before, even if they have gone downhill since.
Or am I being unfair?
Also not sure about Larry Boyd's success in helping to bring in new players, performance a bit patchy so far.

I can see where you are coming from and you do have a point. But I find it hard to believe that there arent other players out there that he would like to sign, and those players might well be one's he has worked with before, yet simply cannot afford.
