The only reason we'll stay up this year is because MILLWALL WIGAN & BLACKPOOL are even poorer than us
6 dour turgid games away from home on the trot and only 1 goal
8 games to go and we have to play the top 4
Thank god for MILLWALL WIGAN & BLACKPOOL

Not to be mean, but that's all kinda obvious, no?

We know there are major issues that need addressing. Mainly from Hyypia / player recruitment inadequasy BUT it isn't gonna change overnight. All this season is about is damage limitations and staying up now - and trying to build some sort of platform for the Summer clear out. Yes the stat is piss poor BUT we've also drawn a fair few of those games 0-0 on the plus side. Tonight went well for us results wise and the key thing was not to lose. Hughtons done a good job and will be well aware the away form has been poor - but he home form has been excellent of late. Keep the faith pal!

It's quite clear. Our strikers are all utterly shithouse, with the possible exception of COG who once shagged Hughton's wife.

Sami's going to keep us up on goal difference.
Thankfully all those draws and not getting stuffed will eventually save our season.

Cheers Sami - Saviour of the Albion.

We have to take the point and move on. Delighted we didn't concede and give Millwall chance to close gap. Scores went our way and we r 2 points behind Bolton and Reading etc. shame we haven't signed a striker on loan who can score!

It really has been an appalling season. I just hope next year is an improvement. We have been woeful this season.

It hasn't been appalling, it's been disappointing. Appalling would be if we were relegated. There have been some matches - Fulham (away), Ipswich, Leeds, Derby (home) - in the past couple of months that have shown our potential in being contenders for promotion. There have also been far too many non-descript games, too many to mention, which show why we are in our current league place.

Sorry pressed wrong key! - so part 2. I would agree with all of your comments with our performances and our decline up to Hyypia's departure. Chris Hughton takes over and yes some of the games have been turgid, but importantly, without losing. It is obvious to CH and the rest of us that we badly need someone to put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis. It's not going to happen this season. Hughton's remit is simple - avoid relegation. If that means crappy old 0-0 draws away from home, so be it. It means another point nearer safety. That might not have been the case with Hyypia in charge.

Like you and thousands of other Albion fans, I too, hope for an improvement next season. It would probably help that we actually have someone in charge in the close season for the first time in three years.
