[Help] Parkside batteries/chargers advice please

I have today bought a cordless pruner from Lidl, who offer various tools which can be used with the same batteries, sold separately. I've not bought the battery or charger because I'm perplexed by this in- store display and wondering

• 1. Why isn't the higher capacity battery also sold as a bundle with the charger?
• 2. Why is that bundled 2Ah battery different from the one sold separately?
• 3. Deleted.

(I've missed off the price of the 2Ah battery which is £15.99)

Yes it can. I have a selection of parkside stuff with 2Ah and 4Ah batteries but only one charger(at the moment).

Well THIS but also, it says the battery charger can do 4ah in the text, and surely the 2ah battery is the same one, it's just upside down being 'charged' ?
And we've not touched on why you would buy a battery powered 'pruner' but not buy/ask all relevant questions about a required battery or charger for it, at point of buying the said pruner..?!

If you look in the bottom right, you'll see it mentions that the charger will charge both battery sizes, as you would expect. I assume that the pruner is sold bare (no battery) so you will need to buy one!

* I'd take it back, pay a bit more and go for Makita or similar, you won't regret it.

Why would you want a second one; is it for those 40 volt appliances which use two batteries? Do you have the pruner, which is essentially a small chainsaw on a pole?

Multiquoting doesn't seem to work for me. Aren't you supposed to tap quote for the first one and reply for the second? Also how do you get rid of a post? I wanted to cancel this one but even going onto another thread and returning doesn't do the trick!

I want the dual charger. I have multiple tools and a gazillion batteries and I'm in the process of 3d printing some battery adapters for all my other tools(Dewalt, Bosch, Ferrex) as the batteries are super reliable and cheaper...unfortunately, I don't have the pruner....yet!

It does; I composed my post without reference to the picture and got it wrong! I meant does the bundled charger also charge the 4Ah battery (I now see it actually says 'powerful battery ' and not 'powerful charger', and Coldeansesgull has effectively answered it).

In that case you need to get down to Lidl today - there were only two left this morning at the Mansfield store.
Parkside batteries are super reliable?

I got a Parkside impact driver a few years ago and it is brilliant - never struggled to drive screws/bolts home. Made light work of some concrete screws into the top of a retaining wall for safety barrier type construction.

Battery is bloody brilliant too!
