There was 75 when I booked mine yesterday

i wonder if having to put your number plate in has put off people who played the system using the ticket on their phone many times due to stewards not checking the bar code

There’s always a batch of parking spaces released a day or so before the match. Probably due to staff, guest, visitor, etc returns.

I find it quite disappointing that no matter what, there will be people trying to beat the system whether it be benefits, disabled parking, transferring tickets, etc, etc.

I don't think it's that.

As @timbha says, there has always been a few parking spaces released a day or two before a game.

But it's not even that - the club has clearly changed their sales process for parking. Now, for most/all games, the initial parking release is for The Bridge only. At a later date university spaces are released.

As someone who hates the Bridge, and I discussed this with @Giraffe recently, you have to be brave and ignore the initial release and wait for the university spaces to come up. Alternatively, buy the Bridge and then look to re-sell it on the exchange if university spaces subsequently come up.

A few games ago, @Papa Lazarou and I discovered we didn't have a parking space a few hours before a Saturday fixture. We hopped onto the ticketing site more in hope than expectation but found there were over 100 university spaces still up for grabs.

I think, that close to a game, many people don't even look - most will assume they've long since sold out.
