Thiam only 1cm better but with a jump to come. Reckon that could be the gold decided right there.
They're about equal at long jump. Javelin is huge.

I don't think anyone has remotely suggested that.

:lolol: “Thrown away”.

THREE points better...

KJT 45 points ahead after event 5
Thanks. I couldn't find anywhere online to keep track of it. It sounded like they had roughly the same result, so I assumed KJT was ahead. She needs a monster throw for gold. Thaim will run the 800 fairly well.

No, she barely closed the gap. But figuratively speaking, a 40-point gap is neck and neck after event 5.
Ok. I wouldn't be surprised if gold is decided by as little as 45 though.

If both throw something like their season’s bestsin the javelin, Thiam will take a lead of around 90 points into the 800m. That equates to about 6s. To visualise, that would be a distance on about 35-40m behind.

It’s certainly possible but would need the run of her career.

Javelin time.

44.64 for KJT :clap2:

Such a bonus to get a good marker safely down. Now she can really go at the next two, without over worrying about the prospect of fouls.

Difficult to imagine Thaim not getting gold again. KJT needs the throw of her career
