Not sure it’s been mentioned and is from a couple of days ago, but I really enjoyed seeing that Irish guy win in the pool the other night and with such a tight finish for a long-distance event.

The most endearing thing was that once he’d covered up his Greek-God like body with his tracky and put on his thick glasses for the medal ceremony, he looked more like he’d just won first prize in a computer coding competition.

Women's Four - Silver! 🥈

So close to Gold, but after yesterday of course it was going to be the Dutch that pipped them on the line.

Are there any other Scottish Olympians around or is Murray the only?

Very tough QF in prospect against 3rd seeds Fritz and Paul, but if they could progress through, the non-seeded Aussie pair will be the SF opponents.

Thankfully Rajeev Ram, former No 1 doubles player with 6 Grand Slam titles, is on the other side of the draw!

Rowing not quite going to plan again, thought we were favs for both the mens and womens 4's??

At this stage think we are a fair bit down on our medal projections and struggling to match our totals from the last 3 games.

FWIW this was an independent projection by Gracenote but we are down on swimming and rowing to date....
