Can anyone explain why we have so few boxers in this olympics?

I remember when we had a representative in every division

Looks like we only have 6 boxers in all?

Olympic tennis is such a loads of old bollocks though.

For the vast amount of athletes at the games, they’ve been training and building up to this one moment for 4 years.

For the tennis players, this isn’t even their biggest event THIS month.

f*** ‘em of out of it, along with the golfers, the footballers and the rugby players.

Women's football is fine. Crazy ending between Brazil and Japan few minutes ago.

Yep, my stance is that if the Olympics are not the biggest tournament in your sport then it shouldn’t be there

Brazilian skateboarder Rayssa Leal became the youngest athlete in history to win two medals in two different Olympics. She won silver in Tokyo when she was only 13 and today she won bronze aged 16.

Which is why golf, tennis, body popping and more should not be in. Squash for one should be.

Personally never watched golf and haven't watched full tennis match in like 20 years so wouldn't mind that at all.

Skateboarding's an event I just can't seem to get on with. I watched the first two legs of the women's event and had no sense of what constituted a good run and what didn't.

To my massively untrained eye, the participants roll along a bit, spend about 10 of every 45 seconds considering their next move and then fall off a lot.

Best of luck to them all but it's not for me. Luckily, in the Olympics, there's always something else crazy to watch.

Exactly this.

I watch those sports you mention regularly, and they’ve given me an immense amount of joy. (Murray’s slams and the Ryder cup etc) but the Olympics is not a place for these mainstream sports and multi-millionaires.

There is something amazing about watching relatively unknown people in niche sports, that they’ve trained for years for, relying solely on funding competing for medals for their countries and that spirit has to remain at the core.
Love tennis and wanted to watch some at the Olympics, and to bet on, but don't have paramount and quite rightly the Beeb focus is elsewhere. And the amount of players pulling out last minute is ridiculous, they obviously don't give a shit about it. Shame. Would rather watch Squash or badders at the Olympics.

Spending the evening going the distance with Andy Murray again, are we? Playing all the old hits.

Not a third set per se, just an elongated tie break.

First to 10, must win by two clear points.
