Yet the 5th placed team play the 4th placed team in CONCACAF. 1 point separates the top 4 in CONCACAF (Honduras, USA, Mexico, Costa Rica), so Colombia or Argentina will probably end up playing Cost Rica or Honduras.


There are only 11 nations in the South America qualifying group, and 4 or 5 of them qualify. It does piss me off how the South Americans and CONCACAF have it so EASY when compared to Europe or Africa.

Well Well Well... It's do or die for Argentina! They have to win this one. Paraguay will not be easy for Argentina. Argentina indeed have some great players. I watched the previous game and noticed that Argentina weren't able to convert those passes. Hope they work on that rather than Messi running around and making a mess!

Colombia aren't playing Chile, according to the FIFA website.

If Paraguay beat Argentina, Colombia beat Uruguay and Ecuador beat Bolivia, then Argentina will be in 6th place. Top 4 qualify in this group.

It's pretty hard to not qualify from the south american group if you are either Brazil or Argentina. Even if they finish fifth they get to play a really easy play off game. Why don't they play the last runner up from Europe instead of Honduras or new zealand or whoever else it is they're actually gonna get.

I like seeing Argentina (and their manager) fall, as its a little fun to see a big name fail and the associated drama.

However I like several of the Argentinian players, it would be a shame to see someone like Messi miss the World Cup. He is an exciting player and I really appreciate his positive attitude when you compare it to the Ronaldos and Rooneys of the world today.
