I did a static line jump (3000ft) when I was 16 for Chailey Heritage, had a fear of heights ever since (I'm now 42)

Did a static line solo jump on Salisbury plain with the Red Devils training team for charity about 5 years ago. Its a toss up really, the tandem freefall jumps are much higher and you get the freefall bit, albeit with some hairy arsed geezer strapped to your backside.... my jump was solo, but the release is done as you jump out at approx 4000 feet, you have control of everything else including the landing of course..... fantastic but scary experience.

I done a tandum at Headcorn a few years ago. Totally amazing and probably the most exhilerating (if thats how you spell it) experience of my life. I hope you enjoy it.

I did a tandem at Headcorn a couple of years ago and definately plan to do it again. May seem obvious but when free falling the feeling of how fast you are travelling is just incredible. One bit of advice; get there early and first in the queue to register / sign in and you'll be the first to jump. If your at the back, you'll jump last and may have to wait a few hours for your turn, depending on how many others are doing it

Yes. I've jumped from 13'000 a few times - always tandem as I don't have any qualifications in that sort of thing - and would love to do some more, but it gets expensive.

As a kid I always wanted to be in the Parachute Regiment, although my mum and dad wanted me to join the Royal Marines. Ended up in the fire service
