But every time someone gets themselves in horrensous trouble or, God forbid, tops themselves because of it, the families wheel out the old "It's all Barclaycard/Capital One/MBNA/Ocean Finance's fault" line, as if it's somehow down to the bank that the individual blew £50k in two years on 60" plasma screen TVs, holidays in the Bahamas and Prada shoes.
We all need to take a bit of personal responsibility somewhere down the line.

ChapmansThe Saviour said:Exactly, money for nothing is not to be sniffed at.

Its personal choice - and as soon as the government starts dictating more and more what we can and can't do I believe that will be a crying shame...
I'm not sure my opinion is really politically correct, but I don't really feel sorry for that lady last night, she chose to get into it, ruined her own life, and can't blame anyone but herself...Simple!

But that's what happens, and rightly. Heroin is banned because it kills people. Gin was restricted in the 18th century because half of London was dying from drinking too much of it. You can either say "it's up to the individual, nothing else matters" or acknowledge the fact that there's nothing wrong with responsible governments stopping the underclasses from either killing or themselves or bankrupting themselves.tedebear said:I can see your point, but once you stop banning things that are "bad" where do you stop? Just because a minority spoil it should the government legislate against it?
