I've only ever had the bog standard pancake with either lemon and sugar or maple syrup on top. On the radio this morning they were talking about Dutch pancakes which have bacon, mushrooms and a variety of cheese. That sounded great to me so will see if I can find a recipe.

All the hardware stores (ironmongers) around here have the spiles (taps) for maple trees on the front counter next to the cash register this time of year.
Bit early yet for actually tapping though.

Besides the commercial sugar bushes, a lot of people with just a couple of trees put by a few pints.

i love the normal pancake with sugar and lemon but now i know about Nutella, i have that on pancake's and its lovely. if you put enough in it squeezes out of the ends .yummmy.

Nice big pancake, a line of sliced bananas, a line of vanilla ice cream, a generous sprinkling of cinnamon, roll it up and drizzle maple syrup over it.
