I normally spend pancake day eating a variety of sweet and savoury delights but I've got window fitters in today so stuck on my roof terrace. I'll have a few when I get in tonight; probably one with meat and cheese and then a couple of lemon and sugar.

I have always called today, one of the highlights of the year, Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day.

However, yesterday I heard the BBC Look North weatherman, call it Pancake Tuesday WTF is that about?

Anyone else sully themselves and call today Pancake Tuesday?

Freshly squeezed lemon and sugar... all smothered on a standard pancake mix. I have even been prepared and treated myself to a new pancake pan and spatula. Cannot wait.

My husband makes great pancakes,

Just simple lemon and sugar. Delicious!

A slight drizzle of maple syrup is preferable to sugar IMO. That what I'm getting later anyway...
