Yes. He's also dead, and was never popular until after he died. He's still CACK though.

I'm into a wider range of music than you I guess. Favourite bands would be New Order (both the dance and rock sides of them), Orbital, Feeder, Divine Comedy. Got countless CD's. 2000 MP3's, covering all genres. I've even got some Tupac, because of my wish to collection all the songs that were on the radio a lot when I was "young" (note that I'm 17, I'm refering to when I was 10/11 and still listening to charts shows)

And this is the kind of crap he quoted to the media:

Tupac Shakur said:
"To me, I am the hardest Nigga out there cause I am real I cry when I need to but I am real"

Yes, he's just like every other dodgy "gangsta rapper" out there. He called himself a "nigga" FFS.

"Better living through Chemistry" is my wife's favourite album (and previous philosophy), but I'm not sure if we'll get this new album. Are there any tracks that stand out?

Though I'm not sure if I can cope with anything good. Everytime we see a signpost for the A303 she starts singing "Everybody needs...", and if we drive on the actual road it's an unending nightmare (which quite fits the road, really).

Hehe. I can't see anyone called Lindy or Linda without those opening bars running through my head. Not as bad as my problem of going through Belfast though - I get Orbital stuck there for a while.

Have to wait til payday before I get a copy of Palookaville in my stereo but I have to agree that Better Living Through Chemistry is top dog. Love Song For Lindy, Santa Cruz (dreamy) and The Weekend Starts Here.
Also, Michael Jackson which was the same era but never appeared on an album, even though it's fantastic.

When you look at it though it's probably his remix work which stands out the most these days. Even when he's just remixing his own stuff.

The FBS remixes across "on the floor at the Boutique" are the pinnacle of his work. And *he* thinks so, too!

thats my favourite thing by him too. He is a brilliant DJ and I had some awesome nights down there until I turned up one night and there was a queue running all the way down the beach. That mix sums up a time in Brighton for me perfectly.

I like his music too, although I wouldn't elevate it to the status MYOB is. The new album is really good I reckon, was very pleasantly surprised

I have a tape of Fatboy DJing at the concorde which was on radio1 for the breezeblock with mary ann hobbes, I was there off my face so that tape is the best I have of him, I must put it on CD someday.

As for albums. First one by a mile, that was my university album. The albums have got progressively worse since, altohugh the new one has grown on me still not a patch on the early stuff.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Going against the grain, I listened to the album and reviewed it for our company magazines and was VERY disapointed with it.

I saw him a month or so back at C2 and like Tinxy was off my tits, but still thought that he was loosing it, and the crowd knew that too.

i like his new album although i agree that his older stuff is better. his remixes album was pretty good as well. i think possibly his private life has made some impact on his music.

i have seen him in ibiza and he was mental, 10,000 people were mashed and it was a pretty damn good night. i have some great memories of it.

10,000 at Privilege? That's NOTHING.

Many of us have seen him play to 250,000 people.
