How long is the one way route in operation. Can I stay and have an extra pint in Lower West and then walk the normal way to Village Way to be picked up at 3.00pm

Yes, the posters in the toilets said for 20-30mins after final whistle. Why any educated member of society would do anything but stay in the concourse for another drink at any football stadium against any opposition is beyond me.

By the time you've had one drink you can leisurely leave in whatever direction you wish and without thousands of people queuing in front of you

AM I missing something OP? I assume the scum will be going clockwise so you won't see any of them?

In London village.
I've got a cunning plan for the O/P.

Why not leave your seat ten minutes early, then you can walk the long way around the stadium and still beat the poorer people to the bus stop?

I am confused. Surely ONLY poor people use buses ?

Won't that be walking parallel to Weststanders heading for the trains (those leaving relaxed a little later)?

I meant if palace were escorted

I know.

It was just a genuine query, following up on yours.

Wondered if the rivals will be walking in the same clockwise direction at the same time (obviously separated)?
who knows. Fact is walking in same direction is a lot less risky than walking into one another which I assume is why they've done it..

I take it the bars in the away end will not be open after the game for them lot?

In the words of my son why cant Sussex Police do what the Met did at Selhurst, kept them in after the finish and then escorted them in a long queue direct to the station and not allow anybody to break off, apparently it was very successful.

Still in Brighton
You'd think someone by the name of SuperSteve would have no trouble traversing the route.

I have just constructed an e-mail as this situation has really hit a nerve, ridiculous!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Dear Brighton & Hove Albion

I am one of your best customers, who pays much more than anyone else at your arena.

Yesterday, whilst at your sporting event watching the team win 4-1, I was overcome by shock and immensely distressed. To be honest, I cannot believe that you treat your bestest customer's this way, the issue's being:

1. I have to turn a different way when leaving the stadium.
2. I wont be the first on the bus ride home.

Now, I would understand if the minions who pay regular prices had to change their plans for 1 match - but not me!! This wont be the end of this!!

Finally, I am yet to receive any response to my previous letter, regarding the earlier kick off time against Crystal Palace!! I trust that you will provide a baby changing room and facilities to warm bottled milk, as this will clash with my regular feeding time.

Many thanks

Bennibenj

ps - this is me when I turned the wrong way before - wasnt happy!!

I have to say these two responses have had me in stitches. Thanks NSC. *goes back to lurking*

The dull part of the south coast
Because...sigh...the nature of the Amex set up is that we won't be all gone for ages, will we? If by some stroke of fortune we win, there will be thousands of people hanging around the bars afterwards, singing and drinking. Are you suggesting that even Palace fans deserve to be kept inside the ground for an hour and a half or whenever people decide to make their way home?

Besides. If we play like we did last year, you won't have to worry about fighting your way through any sort of crowds on the final whistle.

It's one game, gents, tell your other halves you might be a bit later for once.

Or earlier, as it's a 12.00 kick off. On the other hand, much, much later as it has been postponed from Saturday!

Because,as everyone sensible keeps telling anyone the same thing,at scumland the priority is to empty the ground a.s.a.p. and disperse the majority home crowd. At Falmer we encourage fans to stay behind,if we win loads of people will be looking at the novelty of a very early finish and the chance to have a few post game beers.Making the scum stay behind could be even more confrontational with our late leavers hitting the station at the same time.

Could be a problem if they were supposed to board a coach

I for one will be looking to stay behind (for a change)
