Each day that goes on makes it less likely that it will be moved I think. We are only 10 days away now.

Pretty sure that all of the Albion's matchday suppliers will be pressing for confirmation of the date - even if it's only confirmation of the original date - because they'll all have quite long lead times to gear up their production lines. When they know, we'll know

It's a parking zone that's been demanded by the residents. I can't see the council back-tracking on it

But isn't this the point?

This came in when we were a lower second tier team. We're now something stupid like 15th in the power rankings of world club football, let's use a bit of muscle.

Worse the club has to pay for it. I think we should just stop paying personally. I don't see why the rights of the residents outweighs the rights of match going public and I don't see how the club can be forced to pay for something which disadvantages their fans.

According to Selhurst 'sauces' the Premier League will not rearrange it for train strike reasons, but will do so if the police request a change of KO.

That tallies with the Premier League's let's not inconvenience the fans stance. Unless the Police want it moved, it will stay

Do the club pay for it? I thought an enforcement like that would be administered by the local authority. Enlighten me if I’m wrong.

Eh? It's the council that runs the city and not the football club. The council can do pretty much what they want in terms of parking restrictions.

The club may not wish to pay for it but it's a relatively low cost in the scheme of things and it certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of the council.

The Athletic are reporting we are hopeful of getting it postponed to later in the season due to security concerns relating to the travel issues with neither Friday or Sunday considered feasible options
