i just dont get the ppl that support lynch and his crew the knock on effect this has is ruining lives not just sport which of course was recognised by the government as good for mental health but work and social lives and so much more if its postponed to a later date in the season when the government have stopped these idiots striking then they wont have won and that has to be a good thing.

The only thing that's bad for people's mental health is this godamn, rancid, corrupt, shitshow of a government and good luck to everyone fighting for their rights even when it inconveniences us.

but Friday 8pm must be doable?

Train services have typically been winding down on evenings prior to a strike day, so a Friday night KO would be just as bad for train options.

I'll find a way to get there from LA, but it will be a right pain in the backside and will certainly put a dampener on things. Given the lack of alternatives, I'd be in favour of a postponement until later in the season.

How can you condemn one "shitshow" and in the same line condone another ? .

Well the fact that Mick Lynch and his union colleagues are "ruining lives" as you put it, shows that from his members perspective at least, he is doing a good job. The more that they inconvenience the likes of you and me, the better the job he is doing. He isn't supposed to make it easy!

Maybe the new PM will appoint a Transport Secretary who will fulfill their brief, and sort this out rather than grandstanding. I hold out little hope, but as football fans, hope springs eternal !!

have you noticed how the strikes got no coverage last time? only come up here because the direct impact on the game, fading impact already as people just adjust around them. his job is to represent the workers, not have them lose pay to drive a political cause.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we keep the political point scoring to the political threads. I have been as guilty as many others in the past but surely we have learned now. Frankly it's just bloody boring.

So please back to the thread subject, will the Palace game still be on. I increasingly think not, and think it is likely to be moved back in the season. That said the Premier League has a strong record for forcing teams of our stature (not top six) to play regardless.

The doubt about the game has been caused by a strike, which has been caused by geo-politics. Strikes are 100% political. It's not like someone decided to put engineering works on the Falmer line.
