You think the rats are holding him hostage?

My kids aren't happy with this news .... whereas I on the other hand am finding this the best circus that's come to town in a long time, just waiting for the clowns to finish and then it's on with the show!

My childish brain is singing Middle of The Road's 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep' whilst reading all of these comments:

"Where's your Favre gone?
(Where's your Favre gone?)
Far Far Awaaay"

Woke up this morning and you're Favre was gone
Oh dear your a shit club with an inept Board, crap ground, no players, no manager, no five year plan, too many injuries, no new stand, financial fair play penalties looming and no money

*Doesn't quite render but funny!

Andros Townsend on TalkSport saying that the 10 out of contract have been told to wait until the new manager comes in before discussing contract renewals. Start of this week were told would be in place by today and now another delay while they keep searching. So the 10 out of contract aren't sure whether to hang around or seek other clubs. Amazing

It'd be a good time to nip in there and offer them something, if they all weren't so crap. Some of them might suit a Sheffield Wednesday or similar though.

They are going to be un-employed next week, why would they wait around for a new manager, who might not event want them, when they could get a new club now?

I suspect Brentford could be keen on a few of the players with PL experience such as Cahill, and they would probably not need to move house.

Bigger club too. Better stadium and facilities.

So Palace return to pre season training in 9 days. Not only do they not have a manager, but they don't even have a first team coach. The player will have to take training himself

This is like your child's U10s team when the manager has had a few sherbets the night before and failed to turn up for training. Inevitably one of the Dads steps forward and gives it a go and they just end up playing 10 v 10

Reported on bbc gossip today (who knows if true) that Palace ‘baulked’ at Swansea £3m comp ask for Cooper. £3m!!! Seriously. They’ll spend millions on players but not a fraction of that on arguably the most important part of the whole playing setup. Bizarre.
