That's the best possible outcome for Palace fans. I'm sure they will be very pleased.
It will now be interesting to see what kind of budget they have to put together a decent side.
Not doubt there will be a few Germans on the Palace radar.

If the bookies are to be believed it looks like former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre stands a good chance of being Palace's new manager.

Out of the managers that have been mentioned, unfortunately I reckon he could well be a decent choice based on his track record. I'd imagine the Palace fans would be pleased with the appointment if it happens.
I'm a bit surprised Spurs haven't been sniffing around him.

..... or maybe he could go to Spurs, a slightly bigger and better club? 'Arry fer Palliss, innit .............

Yeah that was my first question. Where are Spurs in all this, have they approached him yet I wonder. Or is he one of the few.

Nuno was the one they missed out on. Never heard of this other guy - CV looks ok. Still find the Nuno thing hilarious

You never know with these new prem managers and bloke is 63 and sacked by Dortmund - hell of a job on his hands but we all know they find a way, usually outside the rules by cheating - the club with no shame (who shat in the floor and let us take the blame) :ffsparr:

This actually bodes well for us when it comes to playing them next season. We're much more effective against teams who actually bother to attack. We'll do what we did to FC Bielsa.

Unfortunately not he's a defensive manager known for building good counter attacks. Annoyingly great fit for palace.

Great another palace goon pretending to be a Brighton fan

Yeah. He was trolling a few years ago as well. Only posts about his team. It's a shame he didn't take his own advice.

Look I didn't come on here to upset anyone, I'm sorry if I have. I'm obviously not wanted on here, for what reason I don't know. So perhaps it would be better if I didn't post on any palace related treads anymore.

Frank de Boer should have been a good fit for Palace, but it turned out he was too good for them and never won a game, :lolol:. Maybe this chap will be as well!

So, it sounds like Lucien Favre will be the Palace manager. Sounds like a good appointment.

He will quit in 4 weeks when he realises what he has done.

When he gets there and realises the brochure may have been a little misleading...

Hahaha indeed. They've probably sent him the renders for the redeveloped stand. And maybe some highlight vids of Wilf's best bits (over the past 6 seasons). Got him all excited.

Would be priceless to see the look on his face when he arrives at Stad de Clad

My bad, just double-checked and he's actually arriving at the perfect time, new stand development just finishing up I believe?

"Building works will start at the end of the 2018/19 season. Works are expected to take around two years to complete. The existing Main Stand will remain in operation during this period as the new parts will be constructed above, around and behind it."
