Blimey - and you're our resident sensible Palace fan!

It is a terrible bit of defending - caught out of position, and then seemingly unaware of the player who jogs past him to score. By all means support your players, but accept their failings! (Lewis Dunk, btw, was very much at fault for the goal we conceded on Saturday).

Sorry I have literally just seen the goal, I was at Hove watching Sussex win, then pub and bed just saw the run , cross and goal….i will have a watch later today

( football is a poor second to me when 1, England win a test match and 2, when Sussex win at Hove)

I always think it was more of an Alison v Mullery rivalry that during the 70s was just a reason for a scrap and caries on now in a more yar boo sucks sort of way. With no one under 50 knowing why it started.

Allison's first spell as manager of Palace was over before Mullery became our manager. They only managed the clubs at the same time when Malcolm returned to Palace in December 80 - Feb 81, and although we won a game in December 1980 3-2 the rivalry was already a thing by then.

It was Venables and Mullery's dislike of each other that kick-started the rivalry when both were managers of our respective clubs. There had been trouble previously when the clubs met when Peter Taylor was our manager, but it was during Mullery's reign as Brighton boss the rivalry really kicked off.

Not sure installing hate into children is a good thing, if I am honest……I let mine make their own minds up, then tell them to hate Chelsea, Leeds and Brighton, in that order 😁
Agreed, We don't do hate in our family that's not happening on my watch but I will say i did message my son Palace are losing, shame. I'm so happy with most things Brighton and to be fair I'm ok with Loz seems a decent poster to me especially the cricket comments.

Auld firm?
How is it any different really? A bunch of Christians disagreeing on the way they worship Jesus. Times have changed, we're not burning them anymore. Celtic fans giving McCoist a bit of stick at the airport, all just modern football banter.

I think it is different yes. Brighton and Palace fans largely just pretend to hate each other. For significant sections of the Rangers and Celtic fan bases, the hatred seems real.

As has been mentioned many times my eldest Son and Daughter are Palace fans, my two youngest Sons have had Albion season tickets since we arrived at The Amex and I've held one since returning to the UK in '00. My parenting skills are clearly woeful and inadequate but we have some fabulous footballing get togethers! #UTA
How often did social services allow you to see your eldest son and daughter after the investigation into your parenting?

To be honest it was only permissible in writing and not in person.

If you don't mind me saying, your family dynamic is an Omnishambles.

I simply wouldn't stand for this elder children position.

What do they hate each other for? They're all Scotch, they come from the same city, they're bound to have friends and family who support the other club. They've got no reason to hate each other, it's panto.
