Why the hell did they not protest 'during' the season.

The televised game at Sheff Wed would have been ideal to highlight there plight.

Instead they plan a protest which is not only on a bank holiday, but at a time when people are either, looking forward to the world cup, planning there holidays or watching cricket.

Can someone summarise what their plight is now? I know they have no money but I have lost touch of the recent developments.

What exactly are they fighting back against? What should they be protesting over?

They need someone to buy the ground. That is out of their control.

Just because we snapped a couple of crossbars and went on the mother of all 'save our club from the bad guy' protests, followed by a campaign to get planning permission, it doesn't mean our supporters have the right to preach about what other clubs should be doing. It's patronising - so we suceeded, great, but there's no need to be such snobs about it.

Man United fans protest about the yanks with scarves and marches - Albion fans on here get all high and mighty because they were more drastic. Palace fans wait nervously for a buyer and finally organise a protest in more hope than anything - they still get moaned at.

Some people need to get off their high horses and get a grip. What happened to us is relatively unique, and doesn't "need" to be replicated every time a club has financial troubles. And it certainly doesn't require our supporters to tell them what they are doing right/doing wrong.

Forget this, have reviewed below now. They are not a happy bunch are they.

Crystal Palace FC - The Holmesdale Online - Palace Talk

Love the thread about them trying to raise money by selling a Geoff Thomas montage though. Wonder if that includes his one on one for England v France where his shot nearly went out for a throw in:laugh:

To be fair to Palace fans, for a long time they thought that Tangoman was their saviour, bearing in mind he loves his own publicity so much. Then they get told via the Administrator that they were near to a happy ending only to find out a a week or so ago that they were in deeper shit than they had been led to believe.

Granted holding hands round Selhurst Park is not going to do much. They are not really a club that means much to anybody apart from their fans and let's face it, there are other pro teams very near them which did not apply much to Sussex. However we knew for a long time that Archer and Belloti were the bad guys whereas Palace have been fed a lot of crap it seems.

So there we go then. According to Withdean Wanderer who was in primary school at the time (according to the age stated in his profile) all we did was snap some crossbars and campaign against the bogey man. No need for a sequel to Build a Bonfire then!

Yep, that's exactly what I said wasn't it?

"The mother of all 'save our club from the bad guy' protests"

Funnily enough, it is surprisingly difficult to condense Build a Bonfire into 1 sentence. And yes, it is in my bookcase, along with More Than 90 minutes.

Just because of the magnificent efforts to save this club, doesn't mean we need to scoff at every other campaign that does or doesn't take place elsewhere. It's pathetic.

The numbers are increasing. Several hundred plan to be there tomorrow.
I personally love the sentiment but I fear it might be a pointless gesture.
I believe neither Jordan or the prospective buyers will be there thrashing out terms in the boardroom and so I can't see why tv cameras would be there if this is the case.
This is the first of 3 rallies/protests/demo's or whatever it's being called. If no national publicity is gained from tomorrows march then it will at least show Palace fans coming together for the cause. To the people asking why we haven't done anything before this, well we have been kept totally in the dark with regards the situation, much more so than in 2000. It's only been until very recently that the true gravity of the situation has had some light shed on it. Believe you me, We are as fanatical, proud and deeply in love with our club as any other set of fans who follow 'real' football clubs.
Solidarity and all that.

Surely you can put some kinda of mail to Sky Sports and they'll send down some camaras since its sport and stuff, let em' know its happeneing and they *should* take enough of an interest in it.

Certain members of my site of choice, Holmesdale.net and BBS have been e-mailing all the media types.
As I said previously, what concerns me is that there will appear to be no negotiations at Selhurst due to the bank holiday so will tv cameras make an appearance just to film a few hundred fans?

Tell the media you're expecting the EDL to be there and the cameras will show up.

I can't honestly believe they're going to do a protest on May 31st?! Who is going to be there, the adminstrators? The club shop person if he aint been fired yet?! Why are they bothering now, when the protest and campaigns should of started alot earlier. When they went into Adminstration not leave it untill a month into the close season where hardly no-one will be there. I'm sorry but this is pathetic?!

I take it you're being obtuse yet again. or is it just plain old moronic?
What would be the point of demoing administration? I won't explain this to you as you would non comprendez.
Look at a previous post of mine on here very briefly explaining the situation.
