No chance because our Great Leaders of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Britain know they would lose.

i think its shameful that they will try to pass it regardless of any voting. its like they will keep trying until everyone says yes.

pointless them continuing now unless the heads of europe think they can go back to Ireland and bludgen a Yes vote out of them. but, from what i gather it was exactly the "we know whats good for you" attitude that swung it so unother vote will probably be a larger No.

Ireland was the only place to have a referendum, and they said no,which SHOULD have ended the whole Lisbon "treaty".However,in Europe no doesn't mean no until it becomes yes,at which point all the politicians involved are shown to have been right after all,and are therefore safe to going back to expense boosting.

We already have far too much control and far too many directives coming from Europe. It's feckin' ridiculous. Time to re-create the United Kingdom of Great Britain, France and Ireland and leave the wops and the commie pikey bastards to f***ing sort out their own poor sorry backward arses.

Despite the EU calling for every other country to say Yes regardless to bully us, the Czechs look like they're going to refuse to say anything at all now.

I don't think the Irish have said NO to Europe. They've said NO to the Lisbon Treaty. Just like the French said NO to the first version of the new constitution.

The people of Ireland and France are still fully signed up Europeans.

However,in Europe no doesn't mean no until it becomes yes

A few years ago I'm sure I remember possibly Denmark having a vote on something to do with Europe (a bit vague there!) and it came up no, then another which came up no again. So then they had a third which was yes. I remember wondering then if they would have another to see if it was no again or whether they were just going to keep on until they got the answer they wanted.

We also have the Irish to thank for the 42 days.At last some actual good has come out of the Emerald Isle.

My understanding of the Lisbon treaty, and I admit I have not fully read it, is that it is more or less the same as the last one. We are being told that it is different and does not have the same binding powers as the last one, but in effect it is the same. Good on the Irish government for allowing their people to make the decision.
