A few more old photos, from the motorcade on an awful rainy Friday evening after the previous night's glorious FA Cup Final defeat.

Despite the weather, apparently 40,000 turned out, ending up at Hove Town Hall. It was a noisy affair, but what's with Pinocchio?

Although it was only 30 odd years ago and it was a great time to be a teenager, pics of the 80's always seem to look so miserable. The car were pants and the fashion, primarily amongst grown ups was pretty drab too. Hell, even the weather looked even greyer!

I remain the parade well. I managed to get on the Coast to Coast in the evening seen standing behind Miss Brighton being interviewed by Fred Dineage

That's the Abinger on King's Road. It's not there any more. It's a block of flats now.

The Abinger. Went there many a time with my parents for a T-Bone.
Wasn't it run by someone connected with football or the council? My Dad always shook the hand of the owner 'in that way' nod nod say no more!
