Other supporters who come to watch Brighton

My old man is a Chelsea supporter but has a season ticket for the Albion and has done for about the last 5 years. His 3 mates (thats all my mum will let him have) also have season tickets but support other teams. Should people like this be encouraged even if they support Luton?

Some of us are old enough to remember Les in a Chelsea shirt too! Still old sins should be forgiven. I supported Chelsea for about 5 minutes in 1970 because they had 5 Peters in the team !

I supported Liverpool until 2000, but now 100% Albion. Nice to see someone with the name Queens Park.

Spent a lot of money last season taking my Chelsea supporting son to watch the Albion, in the hope I can at least convert him to a joint Albion/Chelsea fan.

Funny thing is it sort of worked as he enjoyed the youth level, Loved watching the reserves at Worthing, But thought the 1st team games at Withdean boring/crap!!!!!

At least he enjoyed a drink in the Sportsman before the game. not to mention a trip to the club shop & Burger King as well!!!

I'll try with him again next season and hope the football on show at Withdean is of a slightly better quality.

When I was a kid I "supported" Leeds because they were one of the bestest top teams in the country. Then, my dad took me to The Goldstone for a birthday treat. Supported Brighton ever since. Live football will always always win over TV.

It's not easy converting a young lad to the Albion when they see the 1st team "playing crap" as my nipper put it!!!!

I "liked" Chelsea before I became an Albion fan, only because Peter Osgood played for them and my nan bought me a scarf, saw the light when I was about 9 or 10 when someone told me that I should support my local team. I converted my brother from Man Utd, quite a feat really as when we were kids we used to fight like cat and dog and didn't really like each other until after I had left home.

Now I cannot imagine supporting anyone else, although I have always got my footy fix by watching a team local to wherever I have lived, Tongeren(BE), MVV(NL), Hearts(Sco) and now Forest Green Rovers(Glos).
