Their waiter/bar man (youngish guy with stubble back then) has for years owned and ran a successful deli a quarter a mile away from me now in Westdene. A family man now with kids.

Muzza sometimes visits it .... pics on Instagram.

That’s good to know; I’m pleased he’s become successful. I always wonder/worry what happens to staff when places close e.g. Jonny and Steve from Rounder Records. Two truly lovely and enthusiastic guys. Where are they now?

The Deli/cafe has queuing customers (pre and post Covid) 6 days a week.

I didn’t know that you were a Rounder Records regular too. They made a mint out of me from the early 80’s onwards, buying imports.

There’s a NSC poster who’s still mates with the old owner (can’t remember his username), perhaps he’ll know.

What made it awkward? Did you start sniffing her hair?

She had magnificent hair and I was hoping to take some home as a trophy but there was, and I can't stress this enough, absolutely zero chemistry.

When we initially met we had a good laugh etc, which is what set up the initial date. God know what happened in the few days between meeting and the date because it was a horrendous time at the table. Obviously, I have to shoulder 50% of the blame but Christ almighty.
