No doubt were have a lot of Singing Hills fans, however im a big fan of Mid Sussex ( fairwairs could be improved ) and Slinfold.

Played Hill Barn for the first time last week, i found this rather enjoyable.

I was a green keeper at devils dyke golf course when I left school, never played a round of golf in my life, although something quote satisfying about mowing the greens getting them looking perfect !

Played a lot of them and there's some good courses locally.

I really like Hillbarn, it's 5 mins from the house too, the back nine are a challenge too.

Rookwood is a nice course.

Lindfield is my currant favourite though.

Mannings Heath ... though not played it for donkeys .. East Sussex is awesome but crap in wet weather. Used to be a member of Pyecombe, great club but course was ordinary

Singing Hills without doubt, beautifully manicured and a true test for all standards.

West Hove is good but murderous to a high handicapper like myself, played it twice and the course has destroyed me both times.

Hillbarn was great fun, need a trolley though for the hike up the downs on the 15th i think, horrible.

Lindfield is the golf college isnt it? played there once, wasnt a huge fan, but had a nice table top green as i remember.

I Cannot stand west hove, i have hot some of my biggest rounds up there. always seems to be an awkward lie. Not a fan at all.

what are your favourite 2 to play at singing hills?

Lake and Valley.

the middle course, River I find difficult, especially the last hole over water and a tree for a par 3.

I'm a member at Singing Hills, so naturally I love it. Have played Rookwood a couple of times and it is fantastic - especially for a council course .... playing there last Sat was probably my favourite round this year. I do like Mid Sussex, but when I played it last Wed it looked like I have never played the game before - the clubs could have ended up in the river.

Hoping for a game this w/e at either Hassocks (ok, not my fave) or Slinging Thrills

I like Rookwood and Singing Hills, but Lindfield is dreadfully tedious. You just zigzag up and down for the front 9 and they all look the same. The back 9 is ok but nowhere near as good as some i have played.

A golf course I dont enjoy at all, West Hove -just really dislike it and the blind holes on the side of a mountain do nothing for me.

Mannings Heath is a good afternoon out & the Hassocks greens are in great shape this summer.

It's funny - my older brother plays off scratch and was manager at Mid Sussex and is now over at Slinfold, but I've never hit a golf ball in my life. I feel like it's maybe a missed opportunity for free lessons.

Totally agree with this. And what is the 18th all about, I know it's downhill but Christ alive that's a long way, should be a par 7 rather than 5.:lolol:

And Hassocks greens were like putting on glass 2 weeks ago, never seen them that fast before.

River is the hardest of the 3 9s I think (whenever I mention golf, I have to slip in the fact that I got a hole-in-one the first time I played River at SH) - hopefuly there will be a fourth 9 at some point - they are planning one.

I started playing golf 2x winters ago and I hated hassocks as in the winter its a different course as most are but now it's in fine shape and a treat to play.

I must step things up as my improvements hit a brick wall, although a rather tidy 89 at Hillbarn on sunday was a real nice surprise, usually shoot mid 90s there.

I had heard they planned another 9, where will they put it though?

Have you tried Cottersmore? the Griffin course there is up there with the best i've ever played, forgot that one earlier.
