i dont know whether its part of there training ...but spanish players always seem to come over well in interviews...(i maybe its just perception)

I think it's that most English players are thick as pig shit compared to their Spanish counterparts.

That's not actually true is it - Even Orlandi himself couldn't speak a word of English when he moved to the country.... Which makes it all the more impressive how good his English is.

It sounded pretty fluent to me. He's learnt it quickly, can speak Italian and Spanish, which makes several languages in my book.

The reason that foreign players sound more intelligent is that the accent gives sense of sophistication. I'm sure English players and managers - Tel Venables for example - come across as much more intelligent than we give them credit for when they speak spanish.
Orlandi doesn't just speak a couple of languages. He's studying for a law degree, in his spare time.
