Well that says that Newcastle have had an easier start than we have and we're both on the same points from our fixtures, but they are made far more likely to finish in the top five (37.3% v 11.1%). We'll be needing to beat them tomorrow to change that then.

What doesn't get much of a mention in the narrative is that one team, on pre season expectations was thought to be a solid mid-table side with ambitions to go higher, but are already predicted to end the season with nearly 12 points less than was being thought before a ball was kicked. That end of season run of games against teams in flip flops is looking more and more like a false dawn.

Glasner in charge of Palace:
First seven games: 0.714 points per game, average GD of -0.428;
Next six games: 2.667 ppg, average GD of +2.667;
First seven games of this season: ppg 0.428, Average GD of -0.714.

They beat West Ham 5-2 and Man Utd 4-0 in that run of six games and have played them both this season losing 2-0 and drawing 0-0.

They may be lucky that Forest's home form has been letting them down so far this season, because if Palace lose to them on Monday, their start to this season will be 3 points for 8 games, same as 2017/18 when De Boer was in charge for the first five matches.

Statistics, they can be a thing of beauty!

Worth noting that in that season, their first 8 fixtures were relatively hard as 5 of teams they faced ended up qualifying for Europe. They also had their talisman returning for game 8.

:ROFLMAO: They got lucky that year because Hodgson, a former England manager was out of a job, as they had the year before when another one, Allardyce bailed them out. If they give Glasner the boot, they'll surely be sniffing around a third.
