Open your eyes... Crofts is a good player!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading previous and present quotes about Crofts I am a bit bewildered. Why is it that people think he is not worth a place in the team? He has been our best midfielder this year and I would go as far to say our best signing.

He does that job that goes unnoticed. He breaks up play, makes passes, tackles and is the driving force of the midfield, If anything he should be paired with someone with a goalscoring ability and not Dicker, as at the moment Crofts is the better player!!!

He is the player that Steve Thompson was trying to be and is in effect a gos Steve Thompson. Oh and please can I have a backlash of abuse as I am well up for a binfest as I am 100% right.

I agree that his abuse is harsh, and he's not that bad. But he's not as good as Dicker, and he's not our best signing, Tunni is:thumbsup:

It's because he's a player who does the basics well but seldom does anything spectacular so is not really noticed. An essential ingredient to any midfield imo.

You'll have to look to someone else to kick start the binfest :lolol:

I think Crofts had an excellent game today, alongside Dicker. I think they work well together. Bennett, Davies, Cox are good options alongside Crofts and Dicker.

I think Midfield and Strikers are looking good. Just need those clean sheets, which just needs a little stability at the back, so we need to stop getting red cards, which then invite teams onto us, and continue to give us an unsettled back 4, and the injury's to clear up.

Performance was good, if we had a full team, I believe we would have won.

I missed today's game, but I've been hugely impressed with what I have seen of Crofts so far. Great signing.

Crofts started the season pretty poorly, but this is probably as he is playing alongside Navarro, who, lets face it, is nowhere near good enough. Since he has been playing along Dicker he has been excellent. I think he has been one of our best players for the last few games. He is now looking to be a quality signing and him and Dicker look to be a pretty strong partnership in the middle of the park.

He's a real tryer, never gives up and never stops running.

Dicker is a much better player and personally, though I like Crofts and think he does a good job, I would rather see Dean Cox or Aaron Davies in the centre of the midfield alongside him. Let's do some attacking, it might make us too open, but Gary Dicker is easily good enough to hold the midfield on his own.

In all honesty that is rubbish. Dicker is good but not enough to hold the midfield on his own.

Crofts is a very good player, but as someone else has commented he is one of those that does the bits and pieces stuff to allow others to play.

Dean Cox is not good enough or strong enough to play centre midfield in a conventional 442 formation and nor is Davies. Thornhill might be the only other option but I have not seen enough of him to make a judgement.

Crofts and Dicker are a good partnership, leave them alone to get on with it.

I have to say I don't agree as personally I think Crofts is better and playing Cox or Davies, in the middle, means we are less of an aerial threat. I think we do need a more attacking or flair team. I would love to see this at orient on Tuesday. 5-3-2
