I just had a pink lady - not bad, but not as good as a cox at the right time of the year.

I prefer Braeburn, discovery aren't bad but you need to eat them as soon as they are picked, not the sort of apple to leave in the fruit bowl for too long. I would agree with the sentiment above, despite all the merits of Braeburn there are times when it is nice to have a cox or two pass the lips.
